Jacki Lane

Jacki Lane, Owner of Pulse Newport & Bellevue Barre Studios, has been involved in the fitness industry in some form since 1986, when she first became certified to teach Aerobics. Over 20 years, she has completed certifications in Yoga, Spinning, Aquatic Fitness, Personal Training and Pilates. Her specialty – GETTING MORE OUT OF THE HOUR. Combined workouts, cardio & conditioning, and creativity at ALL TIMES. She has worked with clients of all ages and abilities and can modify for any issues and injuries in most classes/camps. Jacki is a mom of three now grown children (15, 25, 27)- and knows how important working out is for both new and seasoned mom-clients’ bodies and their minds. A favorite quote from a camper ~ “I needed to burn off some energy, now I can be nice to my kids all day!”  Another quote, “I’m so happy you believed I could build muscle even at 75! I can unload my washer in one go now!”  Being 56 in 2025, Jacki has added “menopause control” to her roster of experiences, has worked through her own issues to resolve weight creep and energy decline on her own, and is ready to share those tips and tricks with you.

Her business development began with the “FitCamp” concept in 2005.  She shared this and coached many trainers in her community to help them run the profitable programs on their own.. She has also written a training manual on how to teach FitCamp, a Page-A-Day Bootcamp Calendar and a Goal Weight 130 EBook available on Amazon. She strives to bring NEW trends in fitness to the Newport Community while supporting her amazing team of trainers.  Jacki strives to keep her fingers on the ‘pulse’ of fitness trends and bring them to you.

Before fitness, Jacki worked as a Marketing Manager for Burton Snowboards and then a Marketing Director for Turtle Fur Company (winter sports clothing brand.). After that she started her own Alternative Sports Marketing and Photography businesses.  She utilizes tools from these experiences to build hers as well as the trainers’ businesses around her.

Annemarie Cazzarro

Annemarie Cazzarro’s favorite workout is one that pushes her to the limit, she loves combining jumping with the intensity of strength training. Her love for fitness lies in constantly challenging herself and trying new things to keep the workout experience lively.

 

In the fitness world, Annemarie draws inspiration from various local figures, including Mimi Walsh, Megan Weymouth, Charlotte Armstrong, and Carol Perry from her younger days, and of course Jacki later on! These influences have shaped her approach to teaching and training.

 

When it comes to music, Annemarie’s taste leans towards high energy with heavy beats. Though she enjoys a variety of music, she admits that country isn’t really her jam. With a rhythmic flair, Annemarie doesn’t choreograph her workouts but gets creative, ensuring unpredictability in every session. 

 

Whether it’s MaxIntensity, AssKicker with Annemarie, Bootcamp, or Pure Strength, you can expect a well-rounded cardio-strength experience. Additionally, Annemarie takes on a limited number of personal training clients, providing personalized fitness guidance!

Chris Lane

Chris Lane is an ISSA Certified Personal Trainer who focuses on strength and bodybuilding with just enough cardio to keep the fat off but not risk muscle-tapping fatigue. His classes are said to be PERFECT for those wanting to build lean upper-body muscle.  If you want a no-frills STRENGTH session Chris is your guy.  

 

Chris holds one strength training class weekly on Mondays at Noon at the Original Pulse, 1 Casino Terrace, Newport.

Lisa Fitzpatrick

Lisa Fitzpatrick’s favorite workout is Barre, a passion she discovered after initially starting with rowing upon joining the Pulse team. Once she taught her first barre class, she was hooked, appreciating the comprehensive muscle engagement it offers. Lisa loves hearing from clients who are sore in places they never knew were possible. Not to mention, Barre clothes are the best!

 

In the fitness world, Lisa draws inspiration from figures like Tracey Mallet, the founder of The Bootybarre, and Simone De la Rue, the founder of Body by Simone. Constantly browsing Instagram for ideas, she keeps her workouts fun and fresh.

 

Lisa’s music tastes span a broad range, evident in her classes where playlists feature music from multiple decades and fun remakes. She believes that music can either make or break a workout and adds anything that inspires and motivates her! When it comes to rhythm and choreography, Lisa prefers to go with the flow of the class and the vibe of the music rather than adhering strictly to a beat. Clients can rely on her to move with them for the best workout experience.

ANNA SAXON

Anna recently completed her 200 hour yoga certification in India, is a local photographer and owns her own social media marketing and content creation business. She typically teaches a classic Vinyasa flow with a focus on breath work but will also incorporate weights and long holds in poses to emphasize strength building.

Frank Brow

Frank has over 20 years of experience coaching high school athletics and has an extreme desire to motivate others to be the best they can be. As an athlete himself, he enjoys a variety of training. He uses interval training methods to shred fat and rip muscles. Frank has the ability to work with any age group, from young athletes to anyone just starting who wants to get moving. 

His motto is “Do the best you can with what you got”

Samantha Baker

Samantha joined the Pulse Training Team in Spring of 2022.  She is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, Certified Nutrition Coach & Virtual Coach.  She’s starting out as a Personal Trainer and offers a few Small Group Training sessions… Tuesdays & Fridays at 4 pm. 

 

Sam is known for her calm, strong, strength training style – do your cardio on your own – she’s here to help you BUILD MUSCLE AND STRENGTH.

Aine Cunningham

Born and raised on Aquidneck Island, Aine has grown up playing on soccer, lacrosse, tennis, and cross-country teams. Fitness has been part of her routine since childhood.

 

She is currently certified in Spin classes and is training for her 200-Hour yoga certification which she brought to Pulse in April 2022.

 

While Aine’s not making clients smile at the gym, she’s working at Forster Orthodontics during the week focusing on making sure children & adults have the perfect smile to give. She also enjoys beaching, hiking, and traveling when she can!

Brianna Martin

I am a local Aquidneck Islander and love being surrounded by water. You’ll often find me at the beach or out on a boat!

 

I have always enjoyed being active but truly found my passion for fitness when I took my first boot camp with Jacki. The energy of the Pulse community inspired me to take my love for fitness to the next level. As a National Academy of Sports Medicine certified personal trainer, high-energy workouts that take me to my physical limit are my favorite. Mixing strength training with bursts of cardio is a fun and exciting way to stay fit!  After becoming certified as a Personal Trainer I added a TRX Certification to my resume and also teach at Orange Theory Fitness.

Leslie Brow

Leslie Brow has worked in the fitness world since her college days. For the past 15 years, Leslie has taught a combination of body sculpting, boot camp, and spin in RI. She has also attained her personal training certification. Creating new playlists and learning new trends in group exercises is a passion she has. Fitting in her workout is a must-do. When she is not at the gym she works as a Special Education Administrator.

Christine Higgins

Christine Higgins, an AFAA Certified Personal Trainer since 2007, joined the Pulse Team in 2016. Specializing in one-on-one Personal Training, she holds certifications in Spartan SGX, Madd Dog Spinning, Tabata Bootcamp, Core Barre, and Sports Nutrition Coaching over 14 years. Currently, she’s enthusiastic about leading outdoor running workouts across the island.

 

With 6 years of coaching at the high school level and a background as a former athlete, Christine embraces her passion for fitness and sports. She actively competes in Spartan races, trail/road races, triathlons & duathlons. Her preferred workout style combines cardio and strength training intervals for an effective and varied routine.

Christine’s motto is “Get comfortable with the uncomfortable, and if it doesn’t challenge you it doesn’t change you” emphasizing the importance of challenging oneself for positive change. While she believes in pushing boundaries, she tailors workouts to individual levels, recognizing that it’s not where you start but where you finish.

Liz Castle

Liz’s journey with Pulse started as a client looking to lose 30 pounds – and believe it or not this girl WAS 30 lbs heavier and CRUSHED HER GOALS!  She currently teaches classes, bootcamps, AND does personal training — and ALL WITH TONS OF ENERGY AND LAUGHS.  Liz has competed and placed in Bodybuilding shows and really knows how to get the work done, and to get YOU to do it.

Jenn Mouser

Jenn is a former California girl turned New Englander. She began her journey into yoga back in high school when she got curious about how she could add balance to her athletic lifestyle. After one hot yoga class, she was hooked!

 

Jenn is a 400-hour certified yoga teacher through Strength & Soul Yoga and the Humble Warrior Yoga teacher training program. She is also registered with Yoga Alliance.

 

With a strong choreography background and bad a$$ playlists, you can expect Jenn to build a well-balanced flow that will leave your mind, body, and spirit feeling strong and uplifted. The deep inner healing and self-growth that Jenn has experienced herself through a disciplined yoga practice is something that she is most passionate about bringing awareness to others.

Courtney Walsh

Courtney came to us from the Boston area an experienced barre and yoga instructor with an interest in bootcamp training and a great following.  

 

She quickly rebuilt herself here in Newport and offers classes and personal training.  

 

Courtney is a surfer-fit-mom with a loving energetic style that you will love training with at Pulse!

Kelly Greenwood

Kelly has been with Pulse since the beginning, as a client, volunteer, trainer, class instructor, and now nutritionist! 

 

Her calm, caring nature makes her an ideal trainer for clients who need a little extra form of guidance with care or a gentler start.  She knows how to KICK YOUR BUTT too but will work with you to find the path to fitness that works best for you!

 

Kelly offers a range of styles, from Pulse 101 Classes (she loves helping beginners!) to Beach Boot Camps in the early morning.

 

You can choose to hire her separately for Nutrition Coaching, or Personal Training, or both!

Diane McNally

Diane McNally, a NASM-certified group fitness instructor, began her Pulse journey in 2015 with Jacki’s beach bootcamp and was hooked. Jacki’s energy and the amazing Pulse community motivated her to join the Pulse team!

Encouraging, motivating and challenging clients is her goal. Expect to be pushed to be YOUR best whether you’re advanced or new to fitness.  No class is ever the same.  You’ll work hard, have fun, and always be greeted with a smile and positive energy at every class.

SARAH RICHARDS

Sarah Richards joined the Pulse community in 2008. She is the founder and owner of Sarah & Co. Academic Consulting. Sarah graduated University of Rhode Island in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish. She was also a member of the school’s Division I women’s swim team. Her passion for competition shows in her workouts ~~ always striving to be the fastest and best! 

Following graduation from URI, Sarah attended Sacred Heart University, graduating in 2009 with a Master of Arts in Education. Following graduation, Sarah moved to Newport, Rhode Island teaching at various schools on the Island and beyond. Additionally, she has coached both club and high school swimming. Sarah lives in Middletown with her husband, three children, and their dog.

You can find Sarah teaching “Power Push” – A class of her design Tuesdays 730 am at the OG Studio at 1 Casino Terrace ~ in short – Lift, Core, Cardio, Repeat. This 60-minute class is designed to push your limits to lift harder and heavier, torch your core, and max out cardiovascular intervals.

JACEY MOSSACK

Meet Jacey, our Club Pilates trained instructor! Originally from New York City, Jacey has always loved staying active, playing basketball and soccer throughout her childhood. She’s been passionate about fitness for as long as she can remember and, after over a decade of practicing Pilates, she took the leap to become a certified instructor, with receiving her 500-hour full apparatus certificate. Now in Rhode Island, Jacey is excited to bring her energy and expertise to our community. Whether you’re looking to build strength, improve mobility, or challenge yourself in new ways, Jacey is here to support your fitness journey!

Meaghan is a lifelong athlete and NASM Certified Personal Trainer. From kicking the soccer ball across the field, dancing around the stage, to shredding the water on a competitive water ski team (and even a brief rugby era in college), her journey has been anything but one-dimensional. She specializes in strength training, HIIT-inspired workouts, sculpt classes, and dynamic balance training (yes she loves a good BOSU ball challenge). Her workouts will never leave you bored! She’s currently leveling up with a nutrition coach certification so she can bring even more value to her clients. She is here to keep you laughing, pushing, sweating, and leveling up from the inside out.
